Recently I asked a gm if they could change my level 80 priest to level 60 again in which his response was that they don't keep logs of that level.YOUR MAKING IT UP!!!(gms can change levels at will)

Technically, Pangina, you are correct. If we wanted to we could change your level 80 to a level 60.

However, the Game Master you spoke with is correct in that what state your character was in at level 60 would not be recoverable. We wouldn't know which quests you had completed and which ones you had left to do, what your professions were at or your achievements. We wouldn't be able to tell what gear you may have had then or how much gold.

So, technically speaking, Pangina, yes, simply reducing a character's level could be done.

Now that doesn't mean we will and the Game Master would have been prevented from granting such a request because the policies that he or she must follow are very explicit on what they are able to do.

We do not de-level characters. The intended progress of a character is from 1 to 80 and soon to be 85. Regardless of your feelings regarding your current level we are unable to grant such a request under any circumstance.
