Problem turning in a quest

I already have an in-game petition for this, but I thought I'd ask here in case there is a "known issue" the forum can alert me to.

I have a quest called "The Struggle Persists" (or something like that) where I have to go into the Oculus to talk to an NPC whose name starts with B. I ran a heroic random last night and got Oculus. I thought, "Great, I'll finally turn in that quest!" But when I got there, he had the lit up ? over his head, and gave me the dialog to select a quest reward...but I couldn't choose any of the rewards!

I couldn't select "Complete Quest" because I hadn't selected a reward. I finally just left it alone because I didn't want to hold up my group.

Any ideas? I don't have any problems turning in other quests/selecting rewards, so I'm pretty sure I don't need to reset my UI. I'd really rather not if I don't have to. I know that's sometimes a favorite suggestion.

Still no response on this ticket. Is the queue long for all requests? I thought it was just for restorations.

Are you absolutely certain the trigger condition for completion is done on this quest? Some of that type may SAY complete - but the color is different on the line.

That could be the case with this one, I seem to remember that one being a bit different in it's presentation.

I will be certain to check again when I login to the game next, but if the trigger condition was NOT met, would the dialog show up to present my reward choices with the "Complete Quest" button at the bottom?

In this case, I had the reward choices showing and the "Complete Quest" button at the bottom but I could not complete the quest because I had not selected a reward, and I could not select any of the rewards because none of them would press down when I clicked them.

Was the question mark yellow or silver?

Definitely Yellow.

Then it may be your UI, those can sometimes interfere.

I'd recommend trying a full UI reset and check this before re-adding any of your addons back in.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

More detailed instructions for different operating systems, including Macs are here.
