Character Recovery Question

I did put in a ticket for a recovery of a character I deleted a while ago, but my question is, would he have been deleted for good, or if their was a chance he still may exist. He was level 54 or so I believe, and I do know that higher levels last longer then lower ones, but it has been quite some time since I deleted him. Possibly a year, but I can't fully remember. I was just wondering, if it indeed was a year, would a mid 50's still be around or was my ticket in vain.

Characters level 50 and higher should remain indefinitely, Hrothrigar. That by no means guarantees that we'll be able to grant your request but we usually do try to unless there are other factors involved.

I did take a quick look and I can see a Death Knight, level 58 and a Rogue, level 59 but I don't see a high level hunter. Are you recalling the correct account?
