Upgrading a Trial Account Early

I have been playing World of Warcraft for 6 days now on the ten day free trial, and I have enjoyed playing thus far, so I went out yesterday and bought the full game, and it comes with 30 days free. I have been searching around and couldn't find an answer, and I was wondering, if I were to upgrade the account now, with four days left, would those four days be added onto the thirty days I get free because I bought the box set, or would they just be "erased"

They are added on so that you get a total of 40 days free time before game-time has to be added to continue.

Indeed.

Please remember when you upgrade, it may take a little while to fully process and full functionality to unlock. It can take up to 72 hours, normally doesn't - but it can.

But Orlyia, the player stated that they bought a box set so the 72 hours doesn't apply.

Actually, in some cases it can when upgrading from a trial. That's a fairly recent change, but they normally upgrade fairly fast.
