Transferring between realms

Is it still impossible to transfer a character from a PvE realm to a PvP realm?

This is probably a stupid question, and from what I've read in the FAQs I probably already know the answer, but I've been out of the game for a while, and some other stuff I've been reading has me confused.

It was always possible to go one way, but the reverse at one time was not true.

That restriction was lifted long ago.
