Released on Firefighter.

I finally got a group to go into Ulduar 10 for the drake, and we were attempting Firefighter, an achievement that has plagued me with group failure. Most of the group was dead with around 5% so I released, ready to gear up for another attempt. They ended up killing him and I did not get the achievement. I did however receive the emblem. After opening a ticket where I requested the achievement be restored I am told that it is not possible to restore achievements. I have found an instance where a CM replied to a thread saying a specialist is looking into it and will restore that persons achievement.

I am just looking for some help here because finding a competent group to do FF is a pain that has taken me months to do.

I killed Mimiron around 7:25 PM EST on 8/15.

Here are some examples of achievements getting restored.

It is extraordinarily rare for Game Masters to grant achievements, or rather - facilitate them being granted.

This is normally only even considered on realm firsts.

Also, you are quote EU forums, they may have different guidelines than we do.

Q u o t e:
I was told by the GM that I disqualified myself from the fight by releasing, yet I received the emblem of triumph. Finding the group last night to do Ulduar was hard for me to even go because of the pains on Mimiron and this was my last attempt. That's why I reached out to the CS forums because I am not going to go back in to attempt it as Mimiron is just too much of a pain. The fact that I'm being told its rarely done means that it HAS been done, and it makes it seem that I am just not important enough to blizzard to restore an achievement I was present for.

You are totally ignoring the realm first part of my statement, Bzzman.

Not releasing has been a mainstay of the game since day one.

It's not that we are not empathetic of a case like this, it's that we must follow our policies so things are consistent for everyone.

Rare circumstances or one-off cases not withstanding, this just isn't something we are allowed to do in the situation you've described.

The Suggestion Forum is the place to make any requests of our developers and policy makers if you'd like to see policies or mechanics of the game changed.
