Q u o t e:
Not a ninja costume, although that does exist. No, they use the term ninja in-game in association with being scammed.

Game Master may use the term when speaking with other players. If the petitioner uses it as being synonymous with "scam" then to avoid confusing the issue we may use the term the the person is most familiar with. It usually takes too long to provide an education on the different terms and in many cases it tends to just confuse the matter.

Is there a reason that you insist on using bold, Methius? It tends to hurt the eyes. Bold is used to emphasis a word of group of words, not an entire post.

Q u o t e:

While they DID use the term scam in the actual article they also used the word ninja in the subject title. No where in this article does it say you cannot or should not use the term ninja. If they truly do not accept the usage of the term they should have A: Not used the term themselves and B: Stated in the article that the term should not be used.

I'm not certain what your point is. The title of the article is meant to be used so players can find it. Ninja is a common term amongst players so it is used in the article so it can be searched for.

What is your point behind this entire thread, Methius?

I do respect you guys Vrakthris, I really do.

Yet, you are still going to torture me with bolding your entire post. :(

Q u o t e:

In this case the petitioner used the term ninja, however he also describes the situation. I don't think valid tickets like this should simply be ignored (as was confirmed by a gm a few months back).

Those kind of reports aren't ignored simply because you use the term ninja as opposed to scam. But just because you think a scam took place doesn't mean we agree with you. We'll look into such reports and take what actions are appropriate based on violations of our policies found.

Sheesh, I go grab something to eat and this thread had reached 4 pages? Over a term that is commonly used by players but is essentially misleading.

The term Ninja is used to describe taking something (i.e. loot) that the other person did not earn or qualify for. This is not possible within our game mechanics given the multiple methods of loot distribution possible.

It is commonly used to describe a scam and though that may not be the proper terminology Game Master understand that the term is misused a great deal so understand what you are talking about when you use it.

As for our use of the term, if you feel that we should change the Support Article to not include the word you are welcome to post on our Suggestion forum.

Frankly I do not understand why you are carrying on about it, Methius, but that is the appropriate venue. It seems that you have ignored anything else that anyone else has said, including me, regarding the phrasing.
