WOTLK CD Key Not Working!

Help i just purchased a CD key from Gamestop/EBGames
and i enter it on battle.net but it saids it cant be verified. umm
i changed my email and password a few times because i heard that resets the account. but it didnt work.
also i have a wotlk public realm test on my account for some reason that i dont know of. could that possibly be a problem? if so how do i remove it?
