Recruit a friend

I can see that the Recruit a Friend invitation was sent and it was redeemed but it seems like there may have been some confusion from there.

Your friend did create a Recruit a Friend trial account, but they also have a regular trial account. Neither one has been upgraded with the Standard World of Warcraft version yet.

Two accounts will be listed on his Battle.net account, WOW1 and WOW2. The Recruit a Friend account is WOW2. That is the account your friend will need to be on in order to receive the benefits. It is also the account that they will need to apply the upgrade too.

Unfortunately, Theriddler, you and your friend are in much the same situation as the OP. It seems your friend has a Recruit a Friend trial account, which is linked to your account and they have a regular trial account, which they upgraded to a Standard Vanilla version of World of Warcraft.

WOW1 would be the standard account, that is not linked and WOW2 would be the Recruit a Friend trial account. I'm afraid, at this point, contacting our Billing and Account Services department is necessary. They should be able to help apply the appropriate link to the appropriate account.

Actually, the Blizz hold queue is constantly emptying as calls are answered. I understand that it can be difficult to get through, we are very much aware of the issue and are working to address it. In the meantime, if you call and receive the busy message please hang up immediately and call again. It sometimes takes just a bit of luck.
