Account still a trial account

I have waited a full 72 hours since activating my world of warcraft CD-key

My account is still a partial trial account.

I cant send mail, yell, talk in channels, join guilds.

Worst of all I cannot upgrade to Wotlk, which i really would like to do.

I sent an email and it is really getting frustrating

Looks like you’re currently on a 10 day Burning Crusade trial as of 8/12/2010. You will need to upgrade and add the CD keys in the account management page here https://us.battle.net/account/management/ after you have upgraded your account it may take up to 72 hours for the process to complete. You can also call Billing and Account management for further assistance here:
    Account Services
    Assists with: billing issues, password recovery, paid services, subscriptions, payment issues, account management, etc

    Hours: 7 AM to 8 PM Pacific Time
