Account hacked

Yesterday my account was being hacked(logged in mid hack and stopped most of the harm) for a few hours after this i received constant e-mails requesting a PW change & putting an authenticator on my Account which i didn't ask for. I've locked out the hacker for now(changed battle net & e-mail passwords) which probably won't last for long so I'm getting my computer reformatted tomorrow to make sure I'm 100% safe and have ordered an authenticator which may take some time to get here being from New Zealand.

Anyway to my point I've gotten no reply from Support staff/Tickets & cannot contact blizzard via phone due to their lines being busy 24/7 so I'm asking for help here. I logged in to find my Characters all next to guild banks most likely trying to find more to steal luckily they only took one thing before i booted them off which was 60,000 gold exactly taken from this Character I'm thankful they didn't delete my gear or disrupt anything to do with the guild & it's bank but of course i would like what was stolen from me to be restored.

Thanks in advance for any help sorry for the wall of text!, i also ran a full virus scan & a spybot scan which found nothing strangely and as i don't give me account info to anyone i have no idea how this happened.

I'm not seeing where they had added an authenticator, but that would be a sure sign anymore they were into your email.

Some very evil things were done with this account while they had control.

Determining how they got your information is vital to prevent this going forward. It could be as yet unidentified malware, responding to a phish, a compromised email, using the same password and ID elsewhere - especially on websites.

I'd heartily recommend you sweep your system again and consider adding an authenticator as an additional layer of security.

This does have a restoration investigation open, so it's already in process on that front.

Those are all reasonable steps - especially the authenticator.

Restorations aren't all that long at the moment, depending on what needs to be done - possibly within the week. It's very hard to estimate those times, each case is always somewhat unique.
