I recently got hacked (again D:) and have lost basically all of my gear/gold/badges over 3 toons: This one, Dvnox, and Mermader. I honestly have no idea how it happened this time. The first time I was hacked, sure I made a mistake and have then on corrected myself and made sure to protect my computer. I now regularly run Spybot, Adware, and Norton to make sure I have no trojans, or viruses on my computer. Also, I am much much more weary of phishing emails and double/triple check emails before replying or clicking on any links contained in them. ALL that being said, I still got hacked. I have a very secure connection through a private router only used by me and 2 other ppl in this house. Honestly, I feel like an idiot posting here again after being hacked for the second time, but I'm not sure what else to do. I currently have a GM ticket open and am just sitting in SW waiting for my turn. If there is any other advice that you have that is different from all ur guides/stickies I would gladly appreciate it as I have no clue what I did wrong. Also, on a side note, I have never given my pw or account information to anyone. Once again, I apologize for getting hacked again (/facepalm) and if you could help me restore my toons I would very grateful. Sorry for the wall of text and thanks in advance.

P.S. Is there a way to get the authenticator in China? As I have noted before to a GM/Blizz I moved to China after college to teach English and still like to play WoW on my downtime. I really feel foolish for getting hacked a 2nd time and am thinking that if there is anyway to get that authenticator I would definitely purchase one. I have a regular states style phone (Nokia) if its possible to d/l it onto there. Also, in roughly 12 days I am moving to Shanghai if that makes a difference at all (due to it being an International City). Anyway, thanks again.

I do see an open investigation on this - about 14 hours old now. It will be just a few days on that.

If you've changed your email, made certain your systems are secure and know about phishes, that's the majority of what you can do....short of an authenticator.

You don't have one of the supported mobile devices that can run the mobile app?

Mobile Authenticator
