Bannable Names Guilds,Names ETC ETC

after my guild got banned i would like to know why and the reasoning my guild name was [Removed]<----That Doesnt Pass But arena teams by the name of "[Removed]" does and trust me there are way worst racist names we all know that get a pass espcially higher up arena teams and guilds. Its become my personal mission to report them all now because find that you only uphold the rule when you want. In the TOC it says you cant name yourself after real people yet i walk around org and see glen bleck, 50cent etc etc. my think if your going to enforce a rule enforce it to the fullest you dont get to pick and choose that makes you "[Removed]" i can go thru the top 100 arena teams in every bracket and find atleast 50% of them shouldnt be aloud. change this im offended

Regardless of your motivation, Bootie, you are welcome to report any name that you believe may violate our Terms of Use. I assume this is something that you will be doing soon? I was unable to find any petitions submitted about names on this account.

If the reports are submitted from another account perhaps you can list a character name and realm from that account and I'll take a look. Unfortunately you will be unable to do so from this account for now. We really would rather be able to have an open dialog with you but given your posting that made it impossible. If you return please abide by our Code of Conduct.

How did someone name their character with numbers? O.o

Our Terms of Use state that if you name a character, guild or arena team with a name that falls into one of those categories, at our sole and absolute discretion change the name and/or take further action such as suspend or close the account. Our goal is to remove obviously inappropriate names on all realms though on some realms, mostly those designated as Role Playing realms, we uphold additional restrictions most commonly. On normal non-RP realms it may not be deemed necessary to change the name.

Feel free to submit an in-game petition or write to [email protected]. Make sure to include the name of the character/guild/team and the realm.

and if you dont want to hear swear words turn the filter on.. why is there an option to turn it off if swearing is against the rules.

Because the filter is there to allow parents and others to enable an added level of protection. It is not justification to use inappropriate language and violate our Terms of Use. Those policies cover both clear and masked language.

You could wear a bullet proof vest but that doesn't give someone permission to shoot at you.
