Possible future hack?

I got one of those [Removed] phishing e-mails. I was planning on updating my computer settings on battle.net anyhow, so I followed the link. However, I didn't pay attention to the address name. I filled out the form and when I reached the success screen, I looked at the address and realized what I'd done. I changed my password immediately and I do have an authenticator that I've had for some time, but I want to play everything safe and followed all of the directions listed here: http://us.battle.net/en/security/help, including posting here, which I'm doing right now. I haven't been hacked yet, but I'm taking every precaution I can right now to avoid it. Hopefully, it won't happen, but I ask that you please keep an eye on this for me.

Thanks,
Wesley

----EDIT---

The e-mail I got read the following:

Greetings!

Get those opt-ins ready for the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm closed beta! The sundering of Azeroth is nigh, and you do not want to be left out in the cold of Northrend when you could be enjoying the sun-drenched beaches on the goblin isle of Kezan. To ensure you are opted-in and eligible as a potential candidate, you will need a World of Warcraft license attached to your Battle.net account, have your current system specifications uploaded to the Battle.net Beta Profile Settings page, and have expressed interest through the franchise-specific check boxes.

Get the Installer - Log in to your Battle.net account: (-edited out address... It's domian is in the first sentence of the above paragraph above the edit line, anyways-)

** IMPORTANT ** To avoid graphical bugs and other technical issues, please ensure your video card drivers are up-to-date.

Enjoy the game!

Of course, I know now that this was fake. Especially since I already HAVE a Beta invite. x.x

Glad to hear that you have taken the proper precautions, Wesleycat.

You can always inquire if you believe an e-mail to be a phishing attempt but you can also learn how to recognize these attempts yourself by checking the header and links.

More information on how to do this can be found in the following sticky thread.
