Hi all,

I've only just upgraded my trial account and decided to subscribe to WoW. When I selected my subscription options I was prompted to enter my ZIP code for security reasons. Now I live in Hong Kong, and we are one of few places in the world to NOT HAVE A ZIP/POSTAL CODE. And sure enough, my subscription was rejected for that reason.

WoW isn't the only MMO I subscribe to, but this is the 1st time this problem occurred. Normally you'd be able to select Hong Kong as city and override ZIP code verification, but BLIZZARD doesn't provide me that option. What should I do?

BTW I use the same credit card to upgrade my account and subscribe to WoW. If they cannot process a subscription why allow me to upgrade in the first place? If there's anyone from HK pls advice me on what to do.

Well, couple suggestions.

I've been told in the case where none is required, 00000 may work. You could try it.

As to contacting Billing, all those numbers come to the same place - it's just a matter of which one may be best to use based on your location.

You may wish to use our international number, it's not toll-free, but with service such as Skype, it should be very inexpensive - if not free.

International players should call: (949) 955-0283

Many of our international players speak highly of Skype.

If it didn't really go through, those should be pending charges which will drop off.

Billing would probably be better to assist with this. No need taking a chance of any more pendings going on.

Those don't actually move funds, but they do usually decrease your balance or available credit until they clear off the account.
