New AH exploit

Hello,

I use both the regular and goblin AH on a regular basis. Recently I've noticed an exploit being used by afk players on the goblin AH.

Twice I have set up with a friend for cross faction trading. We had a large amount of valuables that got instantly swept up by a player who by all accounts was AFK hiding behind a crate. These scans were occuring so fast that new items were being purchases by an afk player literally within 5 seconds of being posted .

Is this the right forum to post about this type of issue?

This may be a case of automation - perhaps....but the act itself is not an exploit.

Trying to transfer items like this is totally unsupported, always has been - and this has always been a high risk activity.

Even before the advent of the mobile version of the AH - there are 3 neutral auction houses. Just because you see no one in Booty Bay doesn't mean someone isn't scanning at Everlook or Gadgetzan.

The ONLY way to even think about transferring items like this is by pricing them so they aren't a tempting target. Yes, that costs a listing fee and yes, those are higher on the neutral AHs as is the AH cut. List anything for an incredibly low price - this is VERY likely to happen.
