Afk Bots dont get banned, anything left to do?

So several weeks ago I made a post about how I reported a person that was using a program to keep from going afk, while queueing for BGs. The bot ran for 24 hours straight, casting the same spell ever 20 seconds, and never moving. People on the forums sided with blizzard, maybe they were waiting to take action so they could learn about the bot.

It has been several weeks. Every few days I find the bot in the 2nd floor of a building in orgrimmar with no NPCs, casting the same spell every 20 seconds while waiting for a BG queue.

Today, I was in a BG with them again. They sat in the starting area of both rounds of SotA, did zero damage, zero healing, and cast the same spell every 20 seconds. Not enough people flagged them afk and the BG ended with them getting 4000 honor. After the game was over, I went to org and played hide and seek until I found the corner in org where the bot was, casting the same spell, every 20 seconds.

Is doing no damage, no healing, no movement, and casting the same spell every 20 seconds, in back to back battlegrounds for sometimes days at a time against the rules or isn't it?

When this exact situation is presented to a GM, time and time again, you do nothing. The answer it clear.

It is allowed.

/sigh

Its a big secret that every one knows about but you, its safe to bot in BGs. Wake up friend.

That would be a dangerous bit of propaganda to believe, Hitu. Though we understand that it may seem that these reports go unanswered I can only assure you that they do not. Unfortunately, since you are not privy to the same information I have available and I am simply unable to share that information with you, you may continue to perceive things the way you already do.

Yes, some of these reported characters seem to continue what they are doing for much longer than I think any of us are truly comfortable with, Hitu, that doesn't mean those reports are ignored or that no negative repercussions result once the investigation and resolution has been completed.

The fact remains that we will not be able to give you any more information regarding this matter, our policies and procedures regarding these matters are being followed. Based on what you believe you know regarding our procedures you are welcome to provide your feedback in our Suggestion forum if you believe they need to be changed in some way. Beyond that, if you simply don't believe anything is done, which would be doing everyone who works as diligently on these issues as they do a disservice, there really isn't anything I could say to change your mind.

I hope you will continue to report players that you believe are using automation software, Hitu. We do not need a daily report regarding the same player but if they are still there after a week or two feel free to submit another petition to make sure we have them on our list.
