Story so far..
Just a few days ago I was hacked, had all my characters deleted. I was able to regain control of my account with password changes online but obviously my characters were still gone. Created a new level 1 and put in a ticket in game, soon after it showed as 'escalated' and I even called blizz to make sure I was doing things right, was told I was and just needed some patience and everything will be made right.
So then a few days pass and about 20 minutes ago I recieved several emails (one per character restored) stating the character was restored, and a detailed list of what items/currency were also restored. When I check out the armory, my characters are listed (but with some equipment missing) however when logging in to the game, ALL my characters are still gone.
So Im wondering, is there just some delay between the emails being sent and the actual finalization of the restoration process and I should be extremely satisfied and impressed with blizzards customer service and Game Master Dellund in particular OR are these very clever scam emails sent by the very people who deleted all my characters who happens to be using the name Game Master Dellund?
