Account Recovery Wait Time?

I was hacked over 2 months ago, then again about 3 weeks ago. Both times I reported it via ticket and called the customer support line. While the support people were very nice, they were vague about when/ if I'd get my characters and things back. One of them said I'd probably get the more recently stolen things back in 5 to 6 days, but he couldn't be sure. They did give me info on how to prevent it from happening again, but that was the only definite info they could give me (I did get and start using an authenticator).

Is there any way to check the status of your recovery? I have recieved no e-mails besides customer survey requests, and the standard "we're working on it, please don't respond to this e-mail" notes you are sent as soon as you let them know you've been hacked.

Should I just keep waiting, or am I missing something? I want to call again, but I feel like I'd be hassling them.

Also, I've made new characters and now I'm worried I may be over the 50 character limit (I got tired of waiting). Is it true that your lowest level chars will be deleted if necessary? Naturally, that would be my bank toons, which have all my stuff...

Would anyone be kind enough to give me a suggestion?
