The falsely accused

Three times now in a month I have been accused of gold selling. Twice my account was suspended. I have not been involved in gold selling in any way. The messages I recieve keep saying there is evidence or proof, but never share what that proof is. If I am going to be accused of something and punished, how about sharing what that proof is? I'm tired of losing game time that I am paying for without knowing exactly why.

Hi Semita--

While typically account thieves try to mine accounts for as much gold as possible, sometimes they only use the stolen accounts for "advertising" and sending these messages in chat. Looking over the notes on your account, it's clear that it's gotten compromised and used for this purpose.

It may seem like splitting hairs, but I'd like to clarify that Blizzard isn't accusing you personally of anything. All we know is that unfortunately, this account logged in and did something wrong-- so we needed to take action to address it.

You should have instructions in your email for how to follow up on this compromise and get your account secured again, but the fact is that if the account is repeatedly compromised and used to attack the game, it could continue to get suspended. There are a lot of steps you can take to protect your account security, covered in the sticky at the top of this message board:

I hope that you can get this sorted out quicky and with minimal interruption to your future play.

Regards,
