Kidding aside, they have now been at this for exactly an hour. I am curious to know which mechanic allows them to sit in mid-air and teleport around Orgrimmar. Also, are they using trial accounts to do this? (In which case, banning would be ineffective, correct?)

They've been appearing on my realm for the last few days as well. It's kind of annoying, but it's funny to see what I'm assuming is Blizz banning them in real time as characters randomly disappear from the picture they're making. Something that is kind of annoying me, though, is that some people have taken it upon themselves to tell others that if you get too close to one of them they can "scan" your account info. I have no idea what kind of a thought process could come up with an explanation like that.

You'd be surprised. Just today, I got a whisper from Bilzzard (notice the I and L switched) telling me I needed to give him my email to confirm my winning a prize. Obviously, I knew it was fake but a less cautious or uninformed person could fall for that.
