They keep trying, desperately - and are failing.

I know, I know, they may seem more active - but it's desperation.

Those we have squads of hungry gremlins deal with on a fairly regular basis. You are of course free to report them, but they typically disappear fairly fast.

I had submitted a ticket, but it was going nowhere fast, so I canceled it. They are back again, and this time they have formed a heart in mid air. It's quite pretty, would you like to see it?

Kidding aside, they have now been at this for exactly an hour. I am curious to know which mechanic allows them to sit in mid-air and teleport around Orgrimmar. Also, are they using trial accounts to do this? (In which case, banning would be ineffective, correct?)

Keep your ticket open! Tickets often cannot be serviced immediately by Blizzard's staff. Be assured, they will look into the matter. Just keep that ticket open. :)

They've been appearing on my realm for the last few days as well. It's kind of annoying, but it's funny to see what I'm assuming is Blizz banning them in real time as characters randomly disappear from the picture they're making. Something that is kind of annoying me, though, is that some people have taken it upon themselves to tell others that if you get too close to one of them they can "scan" your account info. I have no idea what kind of a thought process could come up with an explanation like that.

Oh good lord.

No, no, no. The only way anyone can get anything from you they can use ingame....is if you GIVE it to them.

You'd be surprised. Just today, I got a whisper from Bilzzard (notice the I and L switched) telling me I needed to give him my email to confirm my winning a prize. Obviously, I knew it was fake but a less cautious or uninformed person could fall for that.

Please do immediately report those kinds of tells with Report Spam. Those are invariably compromised accounts. Trials can't do tells.

Zerkey, if you've reported them you've done your part.

Use report spam on whispers/tells or anything you see of that nature in say.

This is a multi-BILLION dollar a year industry for these people. It's a war we fight 24/7. Sadly, there isn't an MMO in existence that isn't plagued by this cancer.

We do what we can, but as long as there are people willing to do business with them they have incentive to continue cheating, compromising, lying and stealing. If they had no customers, they'd have no business and this would go away.
