Account Hacked - Character Deleted

I logged in today to find that my level 80 Hunter had been deleted and replaced by 2 level 1 characters on the logon screen.

The hunter was a female Blood Elf by the name of "Ramsterdam" on Frostmourne Oceanic realm.

The last time I accessed this character would have been around 1:30pm Local Frostmourne Server time.

Do I need to provide any more information for my character to be restored?

Well, I see this has been reported and is in the investigation queue already.

What is vital now is finding out how they came by your password and ID.

If that isn't located, the chances of this happening again are VERY high. If they CAN get back in, they WILL be back.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.

You could contact Billing about that, it's very uncommon.

Adding an authenticator is your best protection.
