Character Revival

I had a wow account that I canceled about a year ago recently reactivated it, and merged it with a battlenet account. All my characters were gone so I opened 2 gm tickets which told me to contact billing and tech support, they told me both to open a ticket. So here I am opening my third ticket and honestly I understand that there's no for sure chance that I will get my characters back. Whats bothering me is that everyone is telling me to contact someone else, I just want to know who to contact if I can be helped. I really only care about my main character: Vaein, blood elf, paladin, level 70, on Tanaris.
-Thank you

The department that you would need to contact for a restoration would only change if your account was compromised, and you required assistance in getting it recovered, Araemis. If that was the case, you would indeed need to contact Billing & Account Services. That being said, if you were directed to contact billing, there may have been a simple misunderstanding. Otherwise, the Game Master department would be the correct contact in such a situation.

Unfortunately, I don’t see a level 70 character that was previously deleted on this particular account. There is such a character, on what looks to be an alternate account registered under your name. This account has not been linked to a Battl.net account at this time, though. Which may explain some of the confusion. :0)

The e-mail address tied to the older account appears to be the same that you are using for your current Battle.net account, Araemis. If you would like, I can try to talk you through the process of linking the secondary account to your current Battle.net account.

To merge a World of Warcraft account into a Battle.net account, first log in to Battle.net Account Management. Then, under “Add a Game” select the Merge a World of Warcraft Account option on the far right: (https://us.battle.net/account/management/wow-account-conversion.html). Here you will need to select the region for your WoW account, as well as input your account name and the password for that account. After you have given the information for those three fields, please select continue. Know that these steps will allow you to permanently link your World of Warcraft account to the Battle.net account, Araemis.

After you complete the account merge process, you will use the Battle.net Account information (i.e. the email address and password you designated) to log in to World of Warcraft. The old World of Warcraft account name will no longer be used to log in to the game, the World of Warcraft forums, or the Armory, though that should not be new news to you. :0)
