Reporting

I play on RP servers for the most part and I am entirely dissatisfied with the in-game GM stock responses to reports about inappropriate names and behavior.

This morning, I get to hear about genital hygiene, how great the games of other platforms are, rampant sexist and misogynistic trolling, how drunk or high someone is, ascii-macros covering dozens of memes, etc. And the day hasn't really started yet - the worst of the bunch aren't even up yet.

I have been reporting these issues consistently since game release. All I ever get is a form-response that never seems to demonstrate action or consequences. That is entirely discouraging. That sends a message to me that my concerns weren't even worth a tailored response. I don't want to hear "sorry for the discomfort this may have caused" - I want to see tangible changes in my game environment.

When the same players are doing the same things week after week, report after report, it is demoralizing. I don't want to see their spam, or their trolling, or whatever else. I report conversations, times, names, but it doesn't have any apparent effect. /trade and /general are nigh-unusable, but, frankly, I sometimes need to use them for their intended purposes. Why is it that I have to leave a channel designated for trade because I can't see commerce through the rest of the trash? Oh - I know WHY.

What more can we be doing to see distinct, measurable consequences to their actions? What more can we do to try to reclaim RP servers for people who actually want to RP?

The responses are standard, because there is only one, Hobb.

Thank you, we'll look into things - and we do.

We cannot tell you what is done, there is really nothing to discuss, logs say it all.

Now, you may not see anything noticeable immediately. Much depends on that particular player's history our policies - and the penalty volcano.

The trip up said volcano can be long, or short depending on the infraction - but it is sure.

Please do keep reporting violations of our policies, and we thank you.
