Idea to quiet some QQ

So everyone is painfully aware of all the QQ of "My class needs to be tweaked in Cata and they haven't done it yet! The devs hate my class! Wah wah wah. Sky is falling." Perhaps GC could post some sort of loose schedule in terms of what they'll be working on for the next month or so. Ie

- Our focus for this timeframe is classes X, Y, Z, or raids I, J, K. etc. etc.
- Upon completion of last goals, we will begin focusing on A, B, C

So on and so forth.

Maybe then people wouldn't QQ so much about how they're class isn't being worked on right now because they would have some rough time frame of when they're class would be worked on. Of course there will still be 90% QQ threads, but maybe this would reduce it a little. Just a thought...

I'd posit that it would do less good than you imagine.

Recently I said that the mage, shaman and rogue trees were farther along than say the priest and hunter trees. That immediately led to many posts by the former who couldn't imagine that their class was near done because they hadn't received a massive overhaul / didn't have a favorite forum idea implemented / were too bloated / didn't have enough choice / were still "the only spec without an X" and so on.

The sad truth is that probably nothing will "quiet some QQ." The closest we get is when players get excited about a talent or talent tree on paper, but then when they play the class in question, they come up with a new list of greivances. You have to remember that the players who post are typically those who are trying to bring about a change of some kind. Few players post when they are satisfied (though some do). Very few post when they are indifferent.

Recently we have been following a thread by this one player. I'll spare you his class to avoid too much guessing at his identity. He started off with a typical "I'm going to quit my class unless these concerns are met." However, his complaints were actually fairly legit, and we made some changes. Next beta patch, he was back with a new list of demands. This has gone on for several beta builds, where he is now threatening to quit unless, I don't know, sounds or icons are changed. One wishes he would go back and look at his initial list and see how many things have actually been addressed. :(
