Though I may need a bit more information to confirm what happened but from what I can see it looks like the trial account that your friend created did not use the Recruit a Friend invitation. That would be why you are not receiving any Recruit a Friend benefits, because you are not linked to him in any way.
I do see that an invitation was sent. Please have your friend give our Billing and Account Services department a call, they may be able to retroactively apply the link.
