'A Character with that name already exists'

Hello this happened to me also few days/weeks ago when I tried to enter a raid.(Today it just happend randomly in dalaran).

Simple: I enter x raid, it wont load, I close the game logg back in, select char, it loads and kicks me out of the game saying 'A character with that name already exists'.

Does anyone experience the same issue or is it just me and/or is there a way to fix that or is it just an issue from the game?

Anytime you DC or shut the game down improperly, this can happen. The server still sees you as being online. Sometimes you can log in a alt on the same account and it will kick the other character off but It will usually clear up after 10 or 15 minutes by itself.

Exactly so. Sorry for the confusion, folks. If the issue persists after 10-15 minutes submit an in-game petition using the stuck category from an alternate character and let us know. Make sure you list the name of the character as well as the word "Stuck" in the petition and someone will be with you as soon as possible to see what can be done.
