Authenticator Issue

Hello,

I had the Battle.net Authenticator installed on my Motorola Droid, and associated with two of my accounts. Earlier today, my Droid ceased to operate and is now in the repair shop.

I have a few questions:

If the phone can be repaired, and I re-download the application, will the authenticator serial be the same? This is just asking ahead, so I can avoid calling support if I can.

In the event that the above is not possible, what information would I need to go about having support remove the authenticator from my accounts? I did write my authenticator's serial number down.

Thank you!

Redownloading the application is almost sure to give you a new serial number, and therefore, a new authenticator.

Unless the application survived intact - calling Billing is likely going to be in the cards.

They'll need to confirm your identity, and if you happen to have written down the old serial number, that will be quite handy.

They will be able to give you any further instructions based on your situation.
