My son's account was hacked. He put in a email request for support through the blizzard support site. He changed his password on his email account. He is unable to access his account as there is an authenticator on it. His toon is Whosurshaman on Uldaman. He has been waiting 6 hours for some sort of response. There are no responses even on the forums. Come on now, he understands that he will be unable to have his items restored until the compromise is investigated but for the love of pete he just wants to access his account.

Will he get credit for his time that he has been unable to play due to lack of response from GM's. Again he cannot access his account at all due to an authenticator being placed on his account. He does not own an authenticator, therefore we must assume his account has been hacked.

Please a blue response would be hugely appreciated.

Though those of us who moderate this forum try to address as many posts as we are able to, we are simply not able to get to every one. Nor are we able to take posts in a specific order. We take what posts we can.

It should be noted that all the information needed for these matters can be found in the available stickied threads. You do not need to post yourself, we are unable to assist directly with these types of issues and would only be able to refer you to the appropriate points of contact.

He is welcome to contact our Billing department and inquire.

That is a good assumption, it should also be assumed that your son accessed his account on a system that may have contained a keylogger or other malicious program. If he hasn't done so already I highly recommend reviewing the following information and make sure that he is secure.

Account Hacked? Security Issue? Look Here!

I see that an e-mail has been sent in regarding this matter, even if you are unable to get through by phone they should be able to help via e-mail and they will contact him via his registered e-mail address as soon as possible.

Interestingly enough a blue did take the time to edit subject line. But still chose not to respond. UGH

Using caps in a thread title to attract attention to a post is against our Code of Conduct, I choose to fix the title so it abides by our policies and then continue working on another issue that I was in the middle of.

Though I understand the urgency an issue may have for someone personally, though it would be a bad idea for me to respond immediately to such behavior as that only serves to encourage more of the same.

I hope you can understand. :)
