Hacked.

My account was hacked about a day and a half or so ago, and my two 80s were largely stripped. I reported the compromise and am waiting patiently for a response regarding restoration. I managed to change my password, and haven't seen any indication that the hackers have had access to my account since, except that I very recently received an e-mail from Blizzard requesting confirmation of a password change that I didn't initiate. I need to know if this was sent by Blizzard as part of the restoration process, or if something more sinister may still be going on.

Most likely yes, that will happen at least once during a restoration investigation.

I'm not seeing any indication it was the compromiser requesting that again.

Q u o t e:
So should I confirm the password change that was requested at 1:30am July 23rd? Sorry for my robotic demeanour, I'm trying to be professional and unambiguous about this as much as possible.

Before it expires, yes. Some changes expire - some don't. If you ever get one of those and it says it has, you can request another.

Just one last question hopefully. Should I request restorations on both characters that were stripped? The single ticket I have open currently names both of them, is that sufficient, or should both have separate tickets?

One petition should be fine. As long as everything is on the same account we should see it during the investigation.
