***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: WOW1

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: In-Game Chat Policy Violation - Advertisement and Spamming

This account was closed because a character on the account repeatedly abused World of Warcraft's in-game chat system. This abuse includes advertising third party services/websites and repeatedly spamming in-game chat channels. Abuse of this nature pollutes chat channels shared by all players and harms the game environment as a whole.

You may not perform activity that we consider to be damaging to World of Warcraft. Engaging in such activity violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html).

Any recurring subscriptions on this account have been suspended to prevent further monetary charges.

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/exploitfaq

This was an email I recently received. I have played WoW for a total of about a week and haven't used channels much at all. I'm only level 23, and I don't even have a character named WOW1. I didn't think numbers were allowed in character names. Either this was a mistake, or I was hacked; it was most likely the latter. Whatever the case, I'd really like some assistance. I've had a petition in for a while, and have sent two emails back to Blizzard.

As the others suggested it is possible that your account was compromised and used to spam advertisements. Can you give me the name and realm of a character on the account, Trollwar?
