Gambling Against The Rules?

I have a question about gambling in-game, is it against the rules? Like is it against the rules to say "Gambling, taking bets up to 100g! Roll higher then a 70 to win double!" I'm just wondering also, is it against the rules to do that on a RP server? You can role-play a gambler?

My understanding is that you can gamble but you can not advertise it in any channel.

Ok thanks, any other info on this?

The rules on gambling are much the same as our stance on in-game casinos, Keíth. That is to say that While players may opt to privately run or participate in an in-game casino, advertising for this particular practice is not permitted in-game or on our forums in any form. This stands on RP, PvP and normal realms alike.

There is not much other info needed on this one, other than players are urged to report any casino or gambling-based advertisements witnessed. You may do so by submitting an in-game petition or by right-clicking on the name of the advertiser and selecting the "Report Spam" option. When submitting an in-game petition, please be sure to include the advertising character's name and realm, as well as a brief description of the chat you witnessed.
