Public Service Announcement - Botting = Win?!

Just ask characters like "<edit>" on the Kel'thuzad server.
Bot 24/7, PvP, PvE, Gathering, it matters not.. Bot it all! Win the game!
In fact, Blizzard rewards you for botting with Cataclysm Beta Invites!

So get to it kids! Bot away, Win the Day!

But in all seriousness folks (and Blizzard if you're paying attention).
This stuff has got to stop. This person and his 'partner' have been reported countless times in game and nothing ever gets done about it. And now, they boast how they're in the Cataclysm beta. So really Blizzard, these are the people you want testing the future of the game?

I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears, but seriously, do something about this clown. Enough is enough.

*EDIT: Apparently you can't call out people by name for botting on the forums. Fair enough. I apologize. But seriously, this needs to get dealt with.

Did you report this player for botting, Awwsad, or for simply being afk while within a Battleground?

Can you give me the name and realm of the character you submitted the petitions from? I'm unable to find any petitions from a character on this account regarding this matter. Nor am I able to find a character on the same realm or in the same Battlegroup at the person you listed.

Well, except for a level 1 character that was recently created and doesn't appear to have been logged in yet on that realm.

We do properly investigate such reports and take appropriate actions according to our policies. If you can provide more information though I will be happy to look into the reports that you claim to have generated though.

Vrakthris, how would I go about getting you this information without making it public on this thread. (which to my understanding is against the rules).

If possible, can you use your shamanistic powers to talk to me on my current logged in character in the game? ;)

Can you give me the name and realm of a character on the account in question? That should be sufficient.

*poke* *poke* Posted 22 seconds before mine. :P

From what I can see, Awwsad, you submitted one petition back on the 16th reporting two characters. That report was forwarded for further investigation.

I see no mention of the character you mentioned originally, nor am I able to find a petition made from a character that on that Battlegroup.

I understand that the common perception is that nothing is done with these reports. All I can tell you is that could not be furthest from the truth.

If you see someone you believe to be botting please continue to report them. If after a few weeks you see that person still there you are welcome to submit another report, just to make sure that they are on our radar. We dislike these activities more than you do, Awwsad, and do everything in our power to address these reports.

I see, the character you listed originally was one of the ones you previously reported. Gotcha. Sorry for the confusion.

It doesn't matter if they have transferred or not all verified violations will be dealt with accordingly.
