Recruit a friend

Hi, I referred a friend to wow. sent him an invite and all. he used the free trial i sent him and the next day made his account a fully paid subscription. but are accounts r not linked. and we do not get 3x xp boost, on my account management page it shows a red square under his name and says no action has been taken :S

Are you certain that your friend used the Recruit a Friend invitation, Cellini? I see that you sent out 3 invites within the last couple of days but none of those appear to have been claimed. If your friend started a trial account it was not affiliated with the Recruit a Friend promotion.

Now, that does not mean all is lost but it will take a little intervention from our Billing and Account Services department. They should be able to retroactively apply one of those links. You will need to give them a call though.

Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.

Please note that they have been experiencing a rather high volume of calls but keep trying. If you receive a message that indicates that they are busy, hang up and call back. You should eventually get through but it sometimes take a bit of luck.
