First: Thanks for making your games playable on Macs. I'm a Art Director and I only work and play on macs, with a VERY dated PC that can barely run the original Warcraft.
Second: Thank you for creating such an amazing, and social MMO. I've played since launch, and i've enjoyed every drop of content I've come across. WOW means more to me now than it has ever before. In December of 2009 I was laid off from the small hobby game company i worked for and spent just over an entire year on unemployment, unable to find work. During that time I exhausted myself looking for jobs, networking through various web sites, creating dozens of profiles on as many job search sites, hand delivering my resume and portfolio to businesses, and still nothing.
So as i was coming to the point where i could no longer keep my subscription renewed, a conversation was sparked in vent during a raid with my (awesome) guild mates about finding work. I told them my tale of woe and one of my guildies sent me a tell with her email address. She said I should send her my resume, and she would pass it along to her husband, who would then submit it to a recruiter for the company he worked for. At first i thought it was just a polite gesture, so I obliged, not expecting anything to happen.
One month had past since i gave her my resume, and i get a phone call. Amazingly enough, it was that same company, calling me in for an interview. Needless to say, i was offered a position, which I eagerly accepted, and things have been looking up since. I am now continuing my career as an Art Directer thanks to your game.
So I can say, without reservation, were it not for WOW, i would have never met the wonderful people of my guild, and would have never had the opportunity i currently enjoy. So thank you.
For the Horde,
-Dig
