PLEASE READ WHOLE POST BEFORE POSTING. I'm NOT accusing anyone of stealing/hacking/theft!!

post renamed to prevent the unwanted posts of "stop accusing the GM"

(To: In-game Game Master KAJTAHILII) (or anyone who can help me with the issue)

I was hacked about 11 days ago. Since then, i've gotten an authenticator and my account is completely secure, aswell as all my items have been restored.

+++++++Side Story+++++++++++
Upon item restoration, i recieved doubles of the gear that had been taken. In Game Game-Masters Arratremnez and Skelend both returned items to my characters. Before looting these items from the mail, I promptly entered a ticket back to the GM's stating that I recieved doubles back. The Game Master that replied to my ticket (didn't happen to write down the name /cry) told me I could delete the items or keep them if i wish. (as i said, i didnt screenshot it or anything, so name and exact wording is unknown)

++++++Side Story 2++++++++++
I placed a ticket about 2-3 days ago about not recieving an honor points restoration on all of my toons. I got restored a max of 10k on one character, but was never restored on other toons. So I placed another ticket about getting the honor on other toons restored.

---------ISSUE--------------

As I logged into ventrillo thismorning I was informed by a friend that my characters logged on and offline several times in a row late last night after I had gotten offline to go to bed. I quickly logged on to find that I was missing gold and items on 3 of my toons, aswell as lost the majority of my frost badges. I logged over to the toon i had a ticket about honor points on, to find a GM response. The response was from "KAJTAHILII" (in-game game master) informing me that the items that i recieved doubles of a week ago had been removed from the account. This resolved the issue about my mysterious loss of gold and frost badges even though I was told by a GM that i could keep the doubled items and do as i wish with them, but the items were taken back a week later by a GM that was not Involved with the original restoration request or even with my ticket about keeping the doubled items.

After realising a GM had removed my items and 3 of my toons were not where they were left when i logged out, i logged over to my hunter (that had misteriously logged on and off after i had gone to bed). I found my Hunter in Dalaran at the Guild bank (Not where i left him. I had previously been leveling him and he was not in Dal at the guild bank). I quickly checked the guild bank to find that all the items the Hacker had taken and had been restored to my Guild Master by an in-game GM had been taken again. The exact same items!

My main problem is that it seems as if a GM has logged into my account, and moved 3 characters, aswell as removing items from the guild bank, etc (not stealing, mailing off, etc, just removing them as i cant find them on the account anymore) As i've said numerous times, i dont care that the items are gone, I understand i recieved doubles back blah blah blargh blargh I shouldnt get to keep them, but I dont see it as being right that a GM seemed to have logged onto my account (not just the toon, friends saw me going on and offline on RealID aswell) and the character moving from place to place and not being left where they were. I dont see why with this matter that a GM needed to physically log into my account and move characters etc. I've had problems before where they can just up and remove things from the character, so this is why i dont see any need to physically log into my account.

Before anyone asks, i've checked my computer, there is no malicious malware etc on my computer. I also have an authenticator which makes a direct hack impossible. I've searched for all the "man in the middle" files on my computer and non were found. I have a 99.9% fullproof/secure account as of now, which would make a hack nearly impossible.

I do see that the Game Master logged into your characters to deal with the situation, Lasarius. A Game Master may opt to login and actually take control of your character if it is a better means of dealing with the situation. In this case, especially with the reclamation of the items that were in the Guild Bank, it may have been the best option at the time. I’m sorry that you were informed that you could keep the items, only to have them taken back, and I would urge you to leave feedback commenting that fact. Any and all feedback should go to the following address: [email protected].

Looking through the logs of what went on when your characters were taken control of, though, it appears that everything was done in accordance with our policies. I agree that it is unfortunate you were not returned to your hunter’s location, and that may have been a slight oversight. I would like to make sure that the situation you petitioned in regarding got sorted out, though. Were the honor points returned to the characters that had been previously missing them?

Q u o t e:

Aside from the fact they took all my enchanting materials. :( haha. I have nothing to use to enchant now! /cry.

Anyways, thanks again for the info. You've really helped to settle my mood now that i understand why it happened. :)

According to my logs, the only enchanting materials that should have been taken were ones you received from disenchanting the duplicate items. Is that not the case, Lasarius?
