Confusing response from Blizzard

Yesterday I returned to WoW to find out that my entire account was stripped of its gold, items, arena points, and sent out to random guildies. The person responsible was my spouse.

I had no idea that she had done what she did until yesterday.

I never gave her my account password or name.

So what exactly happened?

About 2 weeks ago, me and my spouse went on a trip and returned just yesterday. When I logged in to see the damage done, my spouse revealed to me that she had taken the opportunity to delete said items when I had been preparing for our trip. My mistake was being simply afk.

For the record I NEVER have given her my name or password.

She just took the opportunity to do damage when she could.

But the confusing part: The response I got from blizzard was that this was a case of account sharing. In my ticket I revealed to them the exact circumstances of the situation, how it had happened, etc but It still came down to that it was account sharing. But I assure you it was not.

I know it may look like account sharing but she just took the opportunity that she had to do some damage while I was logged ingame and afk doing RL stuff.

My account is literally stripped of so much hard work, vanity items I have collected, lost arena points, badges, gems. Ugh

So what am I left with?

I see your open investigation still, Fly.

I also see on 7/21 where gold and mats were sent out.

I can't attest to the final disposition of your investigation, but if these are friends and guildies, you might approach them with what happened and see if you can recover some of your items.

That will need to be determined by the investigation, Fly.

I'd wait to hear on the outcome of that. If you need to correspond further on this after that investigation has completed, I'd recommend emailing in this particular case.

That will give you a lot more space for details, this is not a common situation. wowgm@blizzard.com would be the address to use at that time.
