Dungeon / Instance Lag

I have posted in tech support and emailed with no resolution to my issue. Today, I find out I am not alone. I have 5-10-15 second lag spikes in dungeons. I'll go to cast a spell, and the box will light up, the GCD will cycle, but nothing will happen. If I cast another spell, same thing. 5 10 or 15 seconds later, all the things I did finally catch up. Its annoying when I'm healing or tanking. Healing moreso because I like to not let people die, you know?

Another poster has another thread I posted in. I chatted with him about his issue and it is virtually identical to mine. He is also part of the same battlegroup as my server (Kargath) I have run VisualRoute and kept a constant route trace up to the Kargath server, and when this lag occurs, there is no packet loss, no interruption in internet signal, nothing. Nothing indicates a problem with my ISP or another computer/network between me and the Kargath realm. This leads me to believe it is something with the instance servers/datacenter that Kargath now sits in. I can't get any sort of resolution on this issue in Technical Support, via forums or email, and its been going on for 2 weeks.

I just want some sort of resolution is all. I've never had a single issue like this until about a week after the 24 hour Maintenance that our server/battlegroup underwent. I enjoy playing the game as a Healer, but I don't dare do any raiding because I never know when its going to happen. Can someone please help me out here? There has to be some sort of issue that can be addressed, or some more information I can provide to help narrow this problem down. Thanks in advance.

If you are experiencing a large amount of latency I would suggest using the newly introduced Report Lag Feature. This feature may be located by clicking on the Help Request option. This option is located in the small navigation tray near the bottom of your screen and symbolized by a red question mark icon.

This will bring up the In-Game Knowledge Base window, a database full of support articles for your reference. Four options will also appear towards the bottom of the window:
    • Talk to a GM
    • Report Issue
    • Report Lag
    • Character Stuck

Selecting the Report Lag button will open up a new intractable window in which you will be asked to specify what type of latency you are experiencing. You will be able to select from the following options:

    • Loot
    • Auction House
    • Mail
    • Chat
    • Movement
    • Spells and Abilities

After you click on one of these options, your report will be issued immediately and the selection will result in a confirmation window which will be displayed for your acknowledgment. If more than one form of latency is being experienced, a report can be issued in each appropriate category. These reports will not be accompanied by a Game Master interaction, but instead will utilized as a diagnostic tool by our Realm Technicians to help potentially identify underlying causes of latency so that they may be addressed.

We understand the frustration that these types of issues may cause and also understand that the Lag Report feature does not provide feedback regarding your reports. Please rest assured that these reports are taken seriously and are investigated appropriately.
