Real ID between WoW and SC2

I live in Australia, I have the World of Warcraft - US & Oceanic, I just bought Starcraft 2 - SE Asia (bought from the retail shelves of Australia) - I cannot see my Real ID friends that I have on my WoW account, nor can I post on the Starcraft 2 forums ... I'm guessing this is because of the 2 different versions.

Given that I bought both World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 off the shelf from the same store here in Australia, can a blue please tell me if it is possible to use Real ID or has Blizzard, by accident, created an issue where Australian players cant use Real ID ?

FYI: I have checked my battle.net account andboth games are listed under the same account, so I didnt screw up and put them on 2 seperate accounts
