Possible effect of Recruit-A-Friend?

Good Evening/Morning, depending on the time zone.

Not too long ago, I pestered one of my friends into coming to WoW via Recruit-A-Friend (Peer pressure FTW! >D) and, while it says that the trial account is up and running on their end, I havent seen anything in the FAQs that really states how to tell if your friend is online. Maybe I must have missed it?

Also, when I logged in to look over some stuff on my account management page, I noticed I had a second WoW account that was listed as a ten-day trial. Is this something from Recruit-A-Friend? Because I really dont need a second account. If its not, how do I get rid of it? D:

I do hope that wasn't your friend's trial that got on your account accidentally. If so, and they set up a new unlinked account (full version) you won't be linked and will need Billing's assistance to get that all sorted out - and the sooner the better if that is the case.

Now, the way to tell if someone is online is add them to your friends list - REAL ID may be another option you want to investigate :)
