Trial Account Upgraded

My friend recruited me with the recruit-a-friend function, and I started by 10-day trial. Yesterday I bought a WoW digital CD key (with the month game time)... but I didn't buy it as an upgrade of my trial account. Now it's telling me I have two WoW accounts- one trial, and one with upgraded but without my trial characters.

Help please! I really want to continue playing as my paladin. Is there anyway I can move the CD key to my trial account? I don't want to have to start a new toon, and my friend wants her recruit-a-friend recruitment perks, and we want the triple XP.
