Battered Hilt Problem Please GM help

As with any quest, retracing back to the last step in a chain SHOULD return any needed items for that quest.

Backtracking works in nearly every case.

It is possible something else might be impacting this. Sometimes addons can do odd things with items. You might want to try also resetting your UI for good measure if this technique doesn't seem to be working for you.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

Submitting a petition is also fine, although it's very likely that this is something that can be resolved without Game Master intervention.

Aha. That's the issue, Man. Instead of speaking with the NPC at Wyrmrest Temple, I encourage you to speak with Arcanist Tybalin in Dalaran. :)

I do understand your predicament, but it seems you're talking to the incorrect NPC to re-accept the quest. Have you tried visiting Arcanist Tybalin to see if he has a quest for you?
