Beta question

I know Blizzard in the past would take a screenshot of accounts before a certain testing phase. I was wondering if the same happened with the Cata beta. I resubscribed after the beta started, so my account would have been labeled as inactive if this happened.

Does Blizzard still do this, and if so, so they update it occasionally during testing?

The "snapshots" you're referring to are solely related to login information; it will not matter whether or not your account was active or inactive at the time. In other words, if you changed your email address or password recently, you may want to try logging in using your former email address or password if you have difficulties.

Q u o t e:
Thanks for clearing the snapshots up. However, I guess I didnt word this the best so here it goes.

When the beta started, my account was labeled inactive, and i resubscribed shortly after it started. Since my account was inactive at the time of beta starting, would I still be able to get into the beta, either through an official blizzard invite or a beta key (from a WoW fansite or friend)?

There is a chance that you will be selected, yes. Obviously, I couldn't say whether or not you will get in, but there's definitely a chance. :)
