Hacked

As you can guess I got hacked. I put up a ticket doing all the necessary things.
I opened a ticket on this toon "Raytank" and my ticket got elevated. (yay) But as i was checking my alts I noticed that I had another ticket open...This was a toon i hadn't played for a long time. The ticket said

"Dear GM:
I am your loyal player. I am sure that my computer no virus and is safe now.I hope you can help me as soon as possible to restore my items,goods and gold PLZ. Thank you !"

I DIDN'T WRITE THIS!!
What is this hacker trying to pull!! I've changed my password and slapped an authenticator on. Was he trying to help me get my items back so he could hack me a 2nd time? What's going on.

anyone else have this happenned to them? Should I change my e-mail adress altogether to be safe?

That would be the hacker hoping we'd give them back the stuff they took.....so they can take it again.

You need to be absolutely certain both your system and email are secure. It may indeed be best to setup another totally unrelated email for Battle.net from a known secure system.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.
