Auction house mail?

I recently sold an item in the AH but I didn't get any mail afterwards?

It's been a year since I played last so things might've changed and I may not be aware of it but all the searches I came up with were from 2007/08

Is the AH mail system different as before or did my gold from the AH just "disappear"?

Any money from a successful auction sale will be mailed to the character who placed the item(s) for auction via the in-game mail system. As of Patch 2.2.0, Auction House generated emails for successful auction sales will now have a one-hour delay and is no longer instantaneous.
