How do I know: Beta

I was whispered by somone that i had recived that Cataclysm Beta. They told me to go to http://beta-wow.com/ . Im still fairly new to WoW, and i dont think somone like me would recive the beta. Is this offer real???

It is extremely unlikely that we would inform our players that they were invited to participate in the beta via an in-game whisper, Ferrazard. What’s more, you can be sure that it is a Blizzard employee contacting you if they have the following decal in front of their name: (http://us.blizzard.com/support/image.html?locale=en_US&id=81).

As for your concern of how you can tell if a beta invite is legitimate, you can always log into your Battle.net account. Within 24 hours of receiving an e-mail inviting you to the Cataclysm beta, you should see the icon to download the content, and copy a character over.
