I got an email today that says the investigation of my account had concluded and it said that my items were already restored. I log in and nothing was restored. Was this a phisher email or something or was this a mistake?

From what I can see, Lombrie, you received a number of items from your mailbox that appear to be from your restoration. Forgive me, but the removal of those items would indicate that something was indeed restored.

Now, if you are missing additional items we can certainly take another look and see if additional items can be recovered. Make sure you list what characters are missing items and if you can provide a sample of what those items are, it would be helpful.

The e-mail that you quoted, Lombrie, was sent from a Game Master. It seems to be as a result of a petition that you submitted a few days ago. You were requesting that you be put into queue to have lost items restored based on a compromise that you claim took place.

Now the issue here is you originally reported a compromise on the 10th, you were restored on the 15th, and you inquired about additional items on the 17th.

It seems you were hit for spam on the 20th, possibly compromised again, and you reported it on the 23rd. The response you recently received seems to be as a result of that report and we were unable to find any missing items.

Looking at your inventory myself it seems that the items we previously restored are still there. If you can provide us with more information on what you may be missing we may be able to look into that specifically.

Q u o t e:
Would it be possible to contact the game masters via phone?

No, the only departments that can be contacted via phone are Billing and Tech. Neither of those handle matters like this.

Game Masters can be contacted via ingame petition and email to wowgm@blizzard.com.

With any petition, identification of the pertinent facts is always helpful.

In general, character names, item names, dates - are all useful information.

In the case of a restoration, this would be fine and you certainly don't need to list everything - but if there are specific items of concern, those item names would be very useful as well.

On any followup email, the fact it IS a followup - and not a new compromise is also very helpful.
