Q u o t e:
Hi there,
recently my alternate account got hacked and Blizzard were helpful and swift in returning everything to order. I subsequently attached authenticators to both accounts. One a keyring item the other on my iphone. my iphone recently lost some data and I had to back up from an earlier time. Now the authenticator does not work. I can't get in to remove it and don't know what to do next. I do not believe it has been hacked this time. It is just a problem with the account recognising the authenticator...or so i think.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

If it has an authenticator on it, it shouldn't be able to be accessed.
Sounds like your serial number reset, which can be an issue on mobiles.
You'll want to contact Billing to get their assistance in removing that and setting up your new serial number.
By the way, you can cover multiple accounts with the same authenticator if you like. Your physical one could easily be applied to both unless there is a logistical reason (say multiple family members accounts in different locations) needing to access the accounts.
