Confusion about RAF mount?

I recruited my brother on 7/6/2010 (trying to pull him from RuneScape.. blegh)
Since then, he has upgraded his account to a full World of Warcraft account, and paid for 6 months of game time(recurring).
So how do I get my mount? Do I wait two months?
Do I get the Zhevra mount?
I'm too low a level now for the X-53 Touring Rocket flying mount, right? Can I redeem that later as well, or can I only get one? Do I have to redeem it by a certain time?

It the account was upgraded on 7/6/2010, it's not likely that his account has been billed for the game time purchase you've mentioned. Only after the initial free 40 days have passed will he be charged for his first subscription purchase making you eligible for the various Recruit-a-Friend rewards.

You'll need to wait until after your brother has been charged for his subscription purchase (approximately 40 days after he created and upgraded the account). To claim the mount, visit:

I'm afraid not. The Zhevra has been retired. You are only able to claim the X-53 Touring Rocket.

You will only be able to get one; however, you do not have to redeem it by a certain time. Please feel free to level your characters and assign the mount once you're ready!
