Battle.net problem

not sure if I am posting this in the right place but,

this just started today and when I try to access the battle.net site by typing in www.battle.net it instead brings me to http://us.battle.net/en/

is this the same website? if so why the sudden change and if not why is it bringing me here instead of the normal one?
